This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, or arrange a surrender for anyone. For any of those, contact the court that issued the order or the sheriff's office directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
These are the offices that handle warrant questions in Lake County, and the questions each one answers:
- A case or order: the Lake County Trial Court and its divisions, 800 Tenth Street, Suite 300, Baldwin, MI 49304, 231-745-4614, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Traffic, misdemeanor, and ordinance files: the 78th District Court at the same courthouse address, reached through the same court number.
- Support, custody, and contempt matters: the Friend of the Court at Suite 300, 231-745-4614. The office asks that inquiries be put in writing.
- Service and custody questions: the Lake County Sheriff's Office, 1153 Michigan Avenue, Baldwin, MI 49304, 231-745-2712, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Detention questions after an arrest: Lake County Corrections at the same Michigan Avenue address, 231-745-6201.
- County records in writing: the FOIA coordinator, 800 Tenth Street, Suite 100, 231-745-6231, through the county's request form.
- Legal advice: a licensed Michigan attorney. The court and the sheriff cannot advise you on how to handle a case.
The county clerk's office sits in Suite 200 at the courthouse and handles county records navigation. The sheriff's office publishes an administrative counter rather than a warrant desk, and it does not offer a name search by phone.
